About Us - A Company Profile

In 1972 Ron Norris & Keith Harding, who had been working together on local projects, formed a partnership. Both had grown up in the same area of Aldershot and were school day friends.

The early years saw the partnership completing many local domestic extensions and while they were working on these they had a call from ‘Watneys’ Brewery to repair a small square of glass at the Crown & Cushion pub in Minley, the work was completed immediately and the brewery then started to use Norris & Harding as a main service contractor, which later developed into carry out pub refurbishments for many more breweries. Working with new Architects & Designers who liked Norris & Harding’s  approach and reliability, the client base soon expanded.

This new client base included carrying out a major refurbishment of the Grandstand and bars at Epsom race course to the installations of new toilet suites at the Albert Hall.

Ron Norris took early retirement from the business in January 2001 and enjoys a more leisurely life on the south coast. However this did not slow the company down and it has continued to grow from strength to strength.

In 2007 the company won the Rushmoor Borough Council award for ‘outstanding contribution to the local community’. Aldershot Town Football Club is regularly supported by the company as are Aldershot & Fleet Rugby Football Club, Aldershot Boys & Girls Football, Aldershot Rotary Club and Leapfrogs Nursery. The company is always happy to support local events such as Victoria Day, Christmas Parade, Fleet Carnival and consider any request for ‘help’ for a good cause.
